This day course is capped to 10 delegates and intended for managers, team leaders or those likely to be in a position to talk to any member of staff about mental health issues.
Talking is one of the most vital tools we have for managing our Mental Health. In the workplace however, there are unique challenges surrounding this most sensitive of subjects. One of the hardest things to do is to start a conversation with colleagues who may be suffering.
In this course we recap on the subject of our Mental Health Awareness training. Then we build on that knowledge as we set the scene within the workplace, using examples that are relevant to your organisation. We look at important topics such as the correct language to use and the importance of setting boundaries to allow both parties to achieve a useful, positive dialog.
Whilst we do look at the legal framework and responsibilities surrounding this issue, this is training is primarily to help identify and begin the process of helping colleagues who are expericiening difficulties.
This course contains interactive elements and is not usually suitable for those currently experiencing their own mental health problems.
